My Baby is 6 months old already!

Hey everyone, so I took AJ to WIC today & he weighed in at 18 lbs, 12 oz. We all thought he was bigger than that, but they said he's growin good, so that's good. I have been sick the past couple of days, for those who have nursed, I have mastitis, which is very painful! I've had a fever & hurt so bad I could hardly move for 2 days. I am feeling better today, but I still have to call the doctor about it. Aaliyah stayed at my parents house while I was sick, & my mom says she was so good for her, she even slept through the night in her own bed. I'm so jealous, why won't she be good for me? She was a little angel until I came to get her today & then she started bouncin off the walls & totally changed back to her bratty ornery self. I guess I'm glad she was good, I just don't understand why she will behave for my mom but not for me! She hardly ever sleeps a night in her own bed here at home, & she certainly doesn't go to bed at 9:30 like she did for my mom. Ugh! She's just so frustrating! Two-year-olds certainly have lots of attitude, let me tell you, she is definitely a little mini-me, but even I wasn't that bad at her age. I guess it's payback. Anyway, AJ is teething like crazy right now, but still no teeth are through yet. I'm sure we'll be seein them any day now. I hope this whole constant poopin stage goes away soon! Anybody else have that problem with theirs? I swear the moment I change him he does it again, & his diapers can't seem to contain it all, so we go through several outfits a day sometimes. We all know I don't like doing laundry that often, lol. He is doing well with eating the rice cereal, so I think I'm going to go to 2 times a day now. I wish he would take a bottle, but still no go, no matter what. I'm thinkin of tryin the playtex bottles to see if he likes those better. As of now, he will simply not eat unless I nurse him or feed him cereal. The last time I left him with mom for an evening, I left a bottle, & he wouldn't take it, instead went 8 hours until I got back to feed him. I felt bad, cuz he took them when he was younger but not any more! Well, that's about enough rambling for this post, I need to go put him to sleep anyway. Oh, I did take some pics the other night, even managed to get a couple of Alex & I, even though they aren't great. Here they are:

And a couple more of AJ

  1. Oh my, I am feeling you! I didn't have mastitis but have hurt plenty of times, as he grows he changs his eating habits and he we go again! That is great that you are still breastfeeding. I think that our kids behave better for gradparents, that is just howit goes:-) Anyway, I just wanted to let you know that I was thinking about you and am glad that you are doing better! Wyatt is almost 7 months and he weighs 22lbs! Try carrying that around:-) We just have big boys! Love them to death though!
